1 2 Shrinks Timothy Daly , 2014 single work drama

'Shrinks is the latest play by the Award winning Playwright Timothy Daly, (Kafka Dancers, Dons Last Innings with Geoffrey Rush and Derrida in Love with Jackie Weaver). He has just returned from 6 months in Paris as the recipient of the 2013 Keysing award. His works were performed in Paris, Poland and Prague last year, and his plays are currently being developed in Hollywood. Monette Lee and Purple Pear Productions are very proud to be producing this play in Queensland, with a World Premiere season in 3 venues over 2 weeks.

'Shrinks is the story of married psychotherapists Vivienne and Thomas, whose life together has become an overanalysed rut. When Carl, a free spirited patient (with dance moves to die for), becomes their shared case, their attempt at ‘curing’ him turns their lives upside down. Shrinks is a warm, funny and witty script that challenges our preconceptions about freedom, love and self analysis - while pondering the meaning of happiness. Shrinks will be an evening of delightful entertainment, witty dialogue, laughter and the sanguine beats of the Bossa Nova – so join in the fun, with attached dance classes an extra treat to be enjoyed.' 1 6 How to Kill Your Husband (and Other Handy Household Hints) Timothy Daly , Alan John (composer), 2011 single work musical theatre opera humour 'Victorian Opera has transformed Kathy Lette's best-selling, funny and wise novel into an irresistible brand new opera.

'This witty and irreverent tale follows the lives of married couples Cass and Rory, and Jas and Studz. Filled with handy life hints, this brand new chamber opera will take you on a hilarious romp through a series of misdemeanours and betrayals, leading to a dramatic climax - confirming all that is domestic is not necessarily filled with bliss!'

A chance meeting with the descendant of a Holocaust survivor proves fatal when she immolates herself in front of him. He is later visited by the dead woman's sister, who enlists Jack's help to recover their grandfather's stolen bank accounts, confiscated by the Nazis in World War Two. In their crusade for justice Jack and his wife Kym are drawn into a 'conspiracy of good', but must confront a world of danger and corruption, and face the inevitable compromises of ethical action. The story, told in flashbacks, is framed by a series of chilling scenes in which Kym is interrogated by Swiss bank hit-man Raiven.

'Part political thriller, part social satire, "The Private Visions of Gottfried Kellner" asks what the power of personal idealism is in the face of international corporate banking and the atrocities of the past.'
