BiographyHistory

Australian script-writer, who has been living and working in the UK since c. 2008.

Dollard began working as a script-writer on soap opera Neighbours. She also worked as a script producer and script editor on other Australian programs, including The Saddle Club, before moving to the UK.

In addition to the works individually indexed on AustLit, she has also written episodes of (and webisodes for) programs including Primeval (2010), Being Human (2013), The Game (2014), You, Me and the Apocalypse (2015), The Halcyon (2017), and the adaptation of A Discovery of Witches (2018). She also worked as assistant script editor or script editor on Merlin (2009), Primeval (2011), and Stella (2012).

In 2015, she was announced as a script-writer for series nine of the new series of Doctor Who, becoming the first Australian to write for the series since Anthony Coburn and Bill Strutton in the 1960s. Her 2015 script 'Face the Raven' was followed by 'Thin Ice' for season 10 in 2017, making her the first Australian to write more than one televised Doctor Who script.

A daily television drama series set in the fictional Melbourne suburb of Erinsborough, Neighbours chronicles the lives of the residents of Ramsay Street. The series initially revolved around three families: the Ramsays (at number 24 Ramsay Street), the Robinsons (at number 26), and the Clarkes (at number 28). The scope of the series has since broadened to include new Ramsay Street familes.
