BiographyHistory

Television script-writer and script editor.

Hamilton Budd graduated from the Australian Film, Television and Radio School in the mid-2000s, with a short graduate film called Sex with the Ex (2007), directed by Leigh Richards. He followed this with occasional scripts for such television programs as Out of the Blue (2008) and McLeod's Daughters (2009).

In 2008, he became involved with Northway Productions' children's adventure series Trapped, for which he wrote eleven of the twenty-six episodes. He followed this in 2010 with nine of the twenty-six episodes of the sequel, Castaway.

He has also written for Neighbours (2011) and Packed to the Rafters (2012).

His forthcoming work includes scripts for A Place to Call Home (to which script-writer Trent Atkinson and Tony Morphett are also attached), a period drama set in the changing Australia of the 1950s, created by Bevan Lee and due to air on Channel 7 in 2013.
