Notes that The Cairns Post came into existence four years previously, under the proprietorship of Messrs Wimble and Wall. The paper has endeavoured to be 'in every sense of the word a newspaper' and provide the Cairns population with the latest information. Circulation and the demand for news has increased to the point where the paper is now to be issued twice weekly, on Wednesday and Saturday. It will be distributed throughout the country and to all Schools of Arts and public reading rooms, thus bringing recognition to Cairns. As an additional attraction, a serial story 'of exciting interest', will be published regularly, with the first instalment in the current issue.
