AbstractHistoryArchive Description

The writer for the Sydney Monitor advises Barnett Levey to take steps to quash a rumour that he intends to 'exclude from the Stage, all actors who came to this Colony originally in bondage, though now free'. The writer continues: 'Mr. Levey denies having any such intention; we therefore write this to put him on his guard and as his friends'.
