AbstractHistoryArchive Description

Cronin tells of two Jacky-Jackies in Australia. The first is a short description of William Westwood, a bushranger. The second is the story of an Aboriginal Australian who was the companion of explorer Edmund Kennedy. This Jacky-Jacky survived and brought back the report of how Kennedy died trying to discover practical lines of communication between the eastern settlements and the far north of Australia.
