Notes

  • Skuthorp's response to letters from Sydney Morning Herald readers, including Dick Macdonald (q.v.), on the subject of Adam Lindsay Gordon's horseback 'leap', supposedly made at the Blue Lake fence near Mount Gambier. Here Skuthorp also gives details of his own 'leap', supposedly made in the same vicinity, and refutes Macdonald's doubts as to whether he (Skuthorp) had in fact made the leap.
