'Alice (of Alice in One Dear Land) after her first visit to Australia ... returned - as everyone knows - in Native Bear's special flying machine, to her parent's home in the Old Country. However, she was shortly afterwards recalled to Australia, owing to some complicated problems and questions that had arisen in connection with the design of the North Shore Bridge...'
