Alternative title: Moreton Bay Courier and Northern Districts General Advertiser
Date: 1859-1861
Date: 1857-1858 Note: Lilley and W.C. Belbridge (q.v.) appear to have leased the Moreton Bay Courier from owner James Swan during 1857-1858. During this period Lilley held the position of editor, whilst Belbridge probably acted as business manager and also supervised printing operations.
Date: 1848-1856
Date: 1847-1857 Note: Swan ran printing operations at the Moreton Bay Courier from its inception in June 1846 until January 1857. He became editor in July 1847, when he purchased the newspaper from Arthur Sydney Lyon, however he probably relinquished day to day editorial control when William Wilkes joined the Moreton Bay Courier in 1848. Whilst Swan left the newspaper in January 1857, he still retained his financial interest, and he briefly returned as editor in 1858-1859, following the departure of W. C. Belbridge and Charles Lilley.
