BiographyHistory

Lack was a Queensland journalist and historian. He worked for the Gympie Times, the Courier-Mail, the Telegraph and the Melbourne Age, and he was Fellow and then Vice-President of the Royal Historical Society of Queensland.

In addition to his poetry and fiction, Lack wrote many non-fictional works, including In Wesley's Footsteps : The Story of the Mother Church of Queensland Methodism (1949), Queensland (1966), Brisbane (1967), and A Bookman's Essays (1969), and he edited works including Queensland : Daughter of the Sun (1959) and Three Decades of Queensland Political History, 1929-1960 (1962).
