Named in honour of one of Queensland's distinguished poets and academics, The Arts Queensland Val Vallis Award for Unpublished Poetry is committed to encouraging emerging poets throughout Australia. This prize for an unpublished poem of 100 lines or less comes with a total prize money of $4,000.
