Helen Lucas has been a writer, teacher and gardener living in Eltham, Victoria. She has published children's books and educational resources and has performed poetry. In The Nature of Things (2005), Lucas has included a section of poems inspired by her travels to Turkey (undertaken from 1999-2004) and her experience of living in a different land and culture.
