He begins with comment on Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot, a self-translation of his En attendant Godot. After brief comment on several other translated works, Rimer's article then focuses on his English translation of French-Australian author Catherine Rey's novel Ce que racontait Jones [The Spruiker's Tale].
