AbstractHistoryArchive Description

'I Am Here is an engaging, authentic and gutsy new theatre work co-devised and performed by six vibrant Brisbane artists from African refugee backgrounds about their own stories of struggle, survival and new beginnings. Driven by a deep desire to connect and share with genuine warmth, passion & presence, the cast present a compelling, dynamic and deeply moving account of their personal journeys & life in their new home.

I Am Here merges live music, traditional and contemporary dance, raw human emotion & humour into a unique immersive experience and life affirming piece of theatre uncovering a new take on the story of finding a home in Australia.' (Source: Queensland Theatre website)
