The reviewer writes: 'Đất nước (Earth/Water: Country) is a play about identity. Though all come from Vietnamese background, the twelve performers have very different experiences: some were born in Australia, other have only been here a few years; some can barely speak Vietnamese while others are still taking English language classes. Most are hovering on the edge, or in the midst of the changes of adolescence. All are questioning who they are, where they have come from, and where they are going' (108).
