A column in the preceding issue of the Morning Chronicle (3 September 1845): 2 New Publication discusses the prospectus for the intended book '... to be entitled "Voluntary Information from the People" of New South Wales, respecting the social condition of the Middle and Working Classes in the Colony....'.
