The Sydney Morning Herald notes that the score included 'a drinking song, a lullaby, a peasant song, and an original waltz tune' (Thursday 13 June 1935, p.5).
Cast:
Janet Ramsey Johnson, Muriel Meredith, Lily Molloy, Harry Southwell, Stan Tolhurst, Gabriel Toyne, and Ross Vernon.
Location:
The climactic scenes were filmed on Mount Kosciusko.
According to a contemporary report in the Sydney Morning Herald, 'Owing to intense cold and blizzards, cameramen and actors worked under difficult conditions.' The newspaper notes in the same report that 'An amusing incident occurred during the filming of the murder scene, when Mr. Southwell and Mr. Stan. Tolhurst fell into what was thought to be a small snowbank. To the consternation of Cameraman George Heath, however, the two disappeared entirely from view. They had fallen into a shallow creek bed, which had subsequently been covered by 15ft. of snow' (Monday 5 August 1935, p.6).
