From Cairns to Townsville : By the S. S. Palmer, single work column
In the fifth of his series of articles the writer presents his impressions of Townsville. He is less than impressed with Townsville's heat and the fetid air from Ross Creek and believes the city only achieved its prominence through political influence but that, in the long run, Cairns will be the premier city of the North.
