About the 'Taronga Foundation Poetry Prize', established by Bradley Trevor Greive. Grieve 'wanted the competition for foster both a love of poetry and an awareness and concern for the wellbeing of animals and the environment' (p. 47). The prize was 'too expensive to continue indefinitely' (p. 49). To commemorate the prize, he previously published prize winners' poems are to be re-published in this and several forthcoming editions of Blue Dog.
