  • Mr Harry St Maur's excellent performance in the difficult part of 'Jim, the Penman' was presented to one of the largest audiences ever seen in Cairns. The company is unable to extend its stay as the hall is booked, but Mr St Maur hopes to return in August.
  • The committee of the School of Arts canvassed the town yesterday, apparently very vigorously, and raised £41. This will clear the institution's debt.
