AbstractHistoryArchive Description

In Townsville last Monday Mr E. Draper, former editor of The Cairns Chronicle, appeared before Judge Cooper charged with libel against the Police Magistrate, H. M. Chester. His Honour spoke adversely to the defendant, but the jury acquitted him after deliberating for four hours.
