  • J. W. Fawcett, of Townsville, has published a pamphlet entitled 'Life of General Gordon'. The biographical sketch is both amusing and instructive to the student.
  • The Cairns Dramatic Club will give an entertainment in aid of the Hospital and the School of Arts, both institutions being in need of funds. One of the founding members of the club, Mr W. C. Smith, is currently in Cairns and the performance will take advantage of his presence.
