The new committee of the School of Arts has made the commendable decision to run the institution themselves, without employees apart from cleaners. The position of secretary will be honorary and committee members will undertake the librarian and caretaker duties.

Mr Ransome, a former secretary, made a number of heated accusations, until he was subdued by one of the auditors and the elections proceeded. The writer provides a detailed explanation of a discrepancy in the accounts.
