The St Leon's circus gave a performance in aid of the hospital and raised thirty pounds. The circus has been at Herberton for six nights and was well patronised.

The Wild River Times reports that a group of people in Watsonville have successfuly established a School of Arts. Fundraising efforts, including a concert, raised seventy pounds. The writer regrets that efforts in Cairns to establish a School of Arts have been unsuccessful.
