Steve Meacham speaks with Peter FitzSimons about his writing style, in particular FitzSimons's approach to writing 'histories' like Tobruk, Kokoda and Batavia. FitzSimons describes his genre as 'creative nonfiction' and says 'I am not a historian. I am not pretending to be a historian. I am a storian, trying to tell a story.'
