Notes

  • Văn Cao (1923-1995) was a talented composer, poet and artist. His works include the national anthem of Socialist Republic of Vietnam. However, due to his involvement in the political & cultural movement in 1956, many his works were banned by the Vietnamese authorities until late 1980s.
