A personal account by the Hon. Thomas Playford, then Premier of South Australia, of his travels through India to study agricultural methods used by Hindoo (sic) farmers.

Notes

  • Editor's note in issue for 13 May 1892: 'Soon after the Hon. Mr. Playford arrived at Port Darwin we were placed in possession of the voluminous diary written by that gentlemen during his travelling in the provinces of India and the Straits settlements. From the Premier's manuscripts we have made copious extracts, the publication of which we begin with this issue.'
