Sources list a variant date for Huxley's arrival in Australia, although he departed from the UK in 1846, according to the Australian Dictionary of Biography he didn't actually arrive in Australia until 1847. The Home states that Huxley's ship arrived in Sydney Cove in 1846; ADB states that the Rattlesnake reached Sydney in July 1847.
