'Since childhood, Robert Adamson has had a strong connection with the Hawkesbury River, north of Sydney. Producer Libby Douglas and sound engineer Phillip Ulman travelled to the Hawkesbury and spent two days with Robert and his wife, the photographer Juno Gemes.
'They recorded Robert in his home and on his boat reading his poetry and talking about his life. This feature mixes soundscapes of the Hawkesbury River, oyster farming and fishing, with Robert talking about the influences on his work, his family, his desire to become an ornithologist and the first time he heard Bob Dylan.'

'In Sacre Coeur: A Salt Tragedy Kinsella writes with great feeling about the Western Australian wheatlands in a kind of anti-pastoral poetry populated with people he has encountered, and the landscape he loves. He writes with urgency and alarm but also hope.
'For this production, Christopher Williams journeyed to historic York in Western Australia to accompany John Kinsella into the salt-scarred wheatlands. John has been observing and writing about this landscape over the past 40 years and has seen first-hand the devastating environmental consequences of large-scale tree felling, and the damming of waterways such as at Lake Yenyening. John describes the way the landscape has informed his writing and reads selections of his poems inspired by particular places. He also shares his thoughts on how this environmental catastrophe might be addressed.'

'In Gen X-Y we'll be hearing four new poets: Josephine Rowe in Melbourne, Craig Billingham from the Blue Mountains outside Sydney, LK Holt from Melbourne, and Aidan Coleman from Adelaide.
'All the poets are in their 20s and 30s and have at least a first collection published. They read a selection of their work and talk about their styles, subject matter and influences. All of them place a high priority on the individual crafting of a poem and there's an interesting re-visiting of traditional formal structures in some of their work.'

Jayne created Dive while on a residency at Cornell University in the USA in 2005, where she was given access to the US Navy's marine audio archive. Jayne talks about the genesis of the work and then we'll hear the sound poem in its entirety.'

In 2005, these two writers got together to read and discuss their work, both privately and with an audience at the Sydney Writers' Festival.
