Peggy, in Fourth Form at St. Winifred's College, Queensland, is accused of stealing a diamond ring from the man who resides next to her boarding school. Peggy suspects, however, that it was a sixth former who took it.

This story was the winning entry for the Girls' School Story in the Southern Seas Story Competition (c. 1928). Aileen was awarded two guineas and a copy of the Southern Seas Story Book, in which her story is published.
