AbstractHistoryArchive Description

"This book is a set of seven stories as seen through the eyes of two young people with wonderful imaginations. It tells of the preparation for the arrival in 1788 and settlement in New South Wales of the convicts of the First Fleet with Captain Arthur Phillip in command. As the stories unfold we share in the expectations, sorrows and loves of many people, free settlers and convicts, who came to the Colony in the [ships] 'Lady Juliana and 'Bellona' in the period 1790-1793. The family trees, photographs and illustrations in this book trace the lines of descent of the people who sailed in the 'Lady Juliana' and 'Bellona' from early times to the present day."
