AbstractHistoryArchive Description

Angela Bennie reports on an encounter between Jacob Rosenberg (author of East of Time) and Peter Lantos (author of Parallel Lines). Both men were held in concentration camps during World War II, Rosenberg at Auschwitz and Lantos at Bergen-Belsen. Lantos eventually migrated to the UK and became professor neuroscience at King's College, London; Rosenberg made his way to Australia and established a tailoring business in Melbourne's central business district. The two men brought differing perspectives to the writing of their Holocaust accounts.
