AbstractHistoryArchive Description

Willie Wombat visits his old friend Mrs Tuppy and discovers that her husband has gone missing while trying to find buried treasure. Using maps that Mrs Tuppy gives him, Willie follows in Captain Tuppy’s footsteps to an island where he is caught by ‘natives’. When the ‘white god’ appears, Willie sees that the ‘god’ is in fact Captain Tuppy, who is wearing a leopard skin and sandals made of grass. But the Captain refutes his identity, saying ‘How can I be Captain Tuppy, when I am dead.’ Can Willie convince the Captain of his identity and find the buried treasure?
