BiographyHistory

Publishing firm established by Frank Johnson. The firm published Slessor's Darlinghurst Nights (1933) and a range of children's books, comics and popular fiction during the 1930s and 1940s, including a series of sporting novels 'Kings of the Turf' series, 'Frank Johnson's Sporting Novels' and 'Magpie Books' which mimicked Penguin books in cover and design.
