When Molly Williams allows her daughter, Dorothy, to accept a gift from a wealthy stranger a new world opens up for her. But Molly is tormented by her conscience and is finally driven to confess her deception.
Alice Paxton's flighty sister, Rosalind, seems to be losing interest in her latest conquest, Pomeroy, apparently preferring their new neighbour, Alec Wentworth. Alice devises a scheme to help Pomeroy win Rosalind back. Everything goes wrong, but the outcome is satisfactory.
