'Prince Kered loses his family, castle and kingdom of Tanaria to the barbarian Sarods. Abandoned to die in the desert, he is rescued by some surprising new friends. Pursued by the Sarods and bound by a prophecy, Kered and his friends flee north to seek refuge with Kered's uncle ... but to reach safety they must face haunted ruins and magical dangers.'
