AbstractHistoryArchive Description

Tale told by an acquaintance met on the road to Kiama between Shoalhaven and Gerrigong of his days as a convict. Recounts the sufferings of three convicts also employed on a station in the Shoalhaven district years before - who ultimately drew straws to decide which of them should be murdered, who should kill him and so be hung; and who should turn queen's evidence and be pardoned.
