Historical romance set in Scotland in 1503 - the time of the marriage of Margaret and James IV - between the daughter of Edinburgh's chief armourer and a valiant trooper to the king. A mock rescue and the king's favour overcome the armourer's prejudice against the suitor. Well told. (PB).
