Ikin examines three novels by Lee Harding and concludes that the author has "an ability as story-teller; a vivid, fresh, cinematic style; and the capacity to explore and unfold the potentialities of the material...the novels move in a broad sweep; they map the terrain, rather than plumbing its strata."
