Singh emphasizes the importance of mythology to children in traditional Aboriginal communities and the problems associated with its use and exploitation by non-Aboriginal authors. He recommends Aboriginal involvement in the creative and publishing processes, for stories to have acknowledged sources, and ethical considerations to be met. The article includes a bibliography.
