Drawn mainly from the Dromkeen Children's Literature Collection at Dromkeen Homestead near Melbourne, this book is a sampling of the works of seventy-nine Australian children's illustrators, from the Early Romantic era to the contemporary. Each artist is depicted with vivid reproductions of artwork, biographical and biobliographic information, and often personal reflections.
