  • Richard Capper's 'Waltheof: A Tragedy' has not been traced, although a play titled Waltheof: A Tragedy in Five Acts was published anonymously in London in 1851. Allardyce Nicoll's A History of English Drama states that this 1851 work was written by William James Robson; other sources attribute it to Thomas James Serle.
  • Set during the reign of William the first.
