Series of letters between Louisa Lawson and NSW Minister for Justice, Deputy Postmaster General and others with editorial commentary by Lawson. Lawson invented and patented a buckle and fastener used particularly on mail bags. Her patent was subsequently breached and legal proceedings entered into from which she emerged with sole patent, ill health and small recompense.
Includes a letter from Miss Holden to Louisa Lawson just prior to her death, a letter to Lawson from her sister Edith A. Holden and an introduction (possibly by Louisa Lawson) outlining the deceased's contribution to The Dawn.
