Murder mystery set in a major city (possibly Brisbane) with private investigator Duane Dooley. John Loder (q.v.) asserts that the narrative may be based on the 'gay' drowning in the Torrens River, Adelaide (Australian Crime Fiction: A Bibliography 1857-1993, 1994, p. 199).
