Notes

  • Dedication: To Joshua, Francis, Murphy, Jayson and Zanamarica Bodey. To Nimiluk - Tic, thanks.
  • Author's note: 'Over the years I have found myself telling stories to children white, black and brindle of all ages and backgrounds....

In such settings children the world over are no different to those who listened to the stories told by their great-great-grandfathers...

For my children, the black, the white and the brindle, it was mostly as darkness was falling, when the wind died, and the world settled for the night, that I would sit in quiet repose, while in my mind unfolded a story from within...These are some of the stories I have told through all of the years.'

  • Each story is preceeded by an explanation of the geographical location in which the events described took place.
