  • Mr Meston's celebrated article on the Barron Falls will be published in our next issue. It appeared first in The Queenslander about three years ago and has been translated into several languages.
  • Mr Meston's 'Marseillaise' was performed at the Liedertafel concert in Brisbane with great success. The Courier described it as 'this new national song', and 'Moorabinda' in The Bulletin said the song should be 'sung, hummed or whistled' by all true Australians.
Concert at Kamerunga 1888 single work column
— Appears in: The Cairns Post , 22 August 1888; (p. 3) The concert staged in aid of the Kamerunga School was a success. Among the most outstanding performances was Mr A. Gordon's rendition of the Australian Marseillaise, by Archibald Meston.
