Notes

  • First performed at the St Andrew's Day concert of the Highland Society on the 30th October 1878. The song was also sung at the inauguration of the Commonwealth of Australia and perfomed by massed bands at the federal capital celebration in Canberra, 1901. Officially proclaimed the national anthem of Australia on 19 April, 1984.
