BiographyHistory

Michael Clyne was born into a Jewish family who had migrated to Australia to escape Nazism after the annexation of Austria by Germany. Clyne was honorary Professorial Fellow in the School of Languages and Linguistics at Melbourne University. He published widely in the field of community languages.
