Celeste Liddle, an Arrernte woman, completed her BA Hons in theatre and drama at La Trobe University with a thesis 'Indigenous Youth and Indigenous Women's Theatre'. In 2003 her one-woman play was featured as part of the 'Explorations Season' at La Mama Theatre in Carlton.
