BiographyHistory

Andrea Mayes was born in the north of England and emigrated to Melbourne, Victoria in 1979. She lived on the Victorian peninsula. Mayes wrote stories and poetry from childhood but did not write with serious intent until 1998. She has published online, in literary magazines, anthologies and newspapers and appeared on radio for the Australian Broadcasting Commission. She has won numerous short story competitions.
